Two flower crowns are included in this pattern. One with a rose and 2 rose buds and the other with multi-coloured flowers.
These are perfect for little princesses to dress up in or to wear to a wedding as a bridesmaid. Even "big princesses" might be tempted to make one for themselves!
The pattern is easy to follow and has coloured photos of the crowns.
This is an ideal way of using up all those small quantities of yarn that you have in your stash and with all the lovely coloured yarns available it will be easy to match the colour of pretty Summer dresses.
Rose Hair Crown
Double Knitting Yarn
1 – 25 gram ball of dark pink yarn for the rose
1 – 25 gram ball of light pink for the rose buds
1 – 50 gram ball of White
Small amount of Green yarn
Multi Coloured Flower Crown
Small quantities of Double Knitting Yarn in
Blue, yellow, lemon and white
Needles 1 pair of 3 mm (UK11 – US2)
and 2 double ended needles of the same size for the I-cord
For both hair crowns - length of elastic to fit around the head, sew ends to make a circle. Approx. 38 cm (15 in) unstretched for the length and 1.2 cm (½ in) for the width.
If possible, obtain coloured elastic. I used pink for the rose crown and green for the multi-coloured flower crown. If you are unable to find the coloured elastic, just sew the flowers around the band more densely so the elastic, when stretched, does not show.
